Save the Date for 'The Paradox of Connection' with Moe Carrick

  • Sisters Fire Station Community Hall 301 South Elm Street Sisters, OR, 97759 United States (map)

[NOTE: Moe offered a highly insightful program on Nov. 15. Thank you, Moe. If you missed it or if you would like to hear parts over again, check out our audio album pages. To download excerpts, Click Here. Or, to hear the individual tracks as a continuous album, Click Here.]

Keynote for the next Citizens4Community quarterly session will be Moe Carrick, founder of the Bend-based, B corp consulting firm Moementum, Inc.  A Certified Daring Way™ facilitator, Moe is an outstanding organizational coach and speaker and the recipient of the Bend Chamber's "Woman of the Year" award last year. She has engaged audiences across sectors, including at TEDx events, universities, Microsoft, Starbuck’s and Nike.

During this custom-created, dynamic session, "The Paradox of Connection," you’ll gain ideas for fostering meaningful connections in a“highly-connected” world that paradoxically also encourages division and community disengagement.

You’ll learn why “showing up” (even when it’s hard) is key; and you’ll examine what "community" looks like through a new lens of courage, vulnerability, and connection.

This event will kick off at 5:15 p.m. with "Soup & Civility"—a free, light community-building and networking meal sponsored by Ray's Food Place. Our sincere thanks to Ray's and also to Sisters Coffee Company for generously supplying coffees and teas, and to High Country Disposal for sponsoring this talk.

And, as always, thank you to the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District for providing a venue for our quarterly sessions and to Pete Rathbun who helps ensure the sound systems work for C4C events.

If possible, please RSVP by Nov. 13 so we can ensure we have enough food for everyone.
