Join us as we celebrate a decade of community building!
Hard to believe, but Citizens4Community has been working to create a more connected community in Sisters Country for 10 years! To celebrate a decade of impact, we’re hosting a big ol’ party – and you’re invited!
Join us on Friday, July 24th for an evening of music, games, food, arts and crafts, and family-friendly fun. With support from St. Charles Health System, Hayden Homes, and The Ford Family Foundation, this event is free and open to the public!
The festivities will include:
3-4 PM – Musical instrument workshop for kids with the Tri Cities Steel Band Association | Come early for some hands-on engagement with our youth musicians and an introduction to the marimba and other instruments!
4-5:30 PM – Live music by Bahuru and Baduku | Bahuru and Baduku are Zimbabwean-style marimba bands comprised of middle and high school-age members of the Tri Cities Steel Band Association (TCSBA). TCSBA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Richland, Washington that promotes world music through education and music performance. They regularly travel across the Pacific Northwest to share their talents, and after hearing them perform in Sisters last year we knew we needed to invite them back for our big party!
5:30-5:45 PM – Remarks from C4C leadership | Past and present C4C leadership will share reflections on a decade of community building and honor those who have supported our journey.
6-7 PM – Live music by Outlaw Strings Club | You’ve heard them at our community social dances; now catch Sisters Middle and High School students on the Songbird Stage as they bust out their fiddles and guitars for more dance-ready tunes! Help us close the night out in style with some dancing in the town square.
7-8 PM – Stick around and party!
But wait, there’s more!
Throughout the evening we’ll also have:
Pop-up exhibits from the Children’s Museum of Central Oregon
Arts and crafts inside The Hub featuring our past and present “Artists in Residence”
Tasty food from Luckey’s Woodsman and free cotton candy from The Slow Down State
The launch of our first-ever C4C swag (available for purchase)!
Tell us what community and C4C mean to you in the Bivvi tiny home testimonial booth!
We can’t wait to celebrate with the community that makes our work worthwhile. Hope to see you there!
This party is made possible thanks to…
