Hey kids, this event’s for YOU!
C4C, SPRD, Circle of Friends, and the Sisters Elementary Parent Teacher Committee (SPTC) are teaming up to bring the Children’s Museum of Central Oregon’s Mobile Museum to Sisters for a whole weekend.
Founded in 2015, the Children’s Museum of Central Oregon (CMCO) is working to create a region where all children have access to hands-on learning and play that enriches their development. Although a brick-and-mortar children’s museum is in the planning stages, CMCO does not yet have its own building. Lucky for us, that means they can bring the fun to Sisters!
On February 22-23 from 10 AM-2 PM, CMCO will host their pop-up Mobile Museum in the Sisters Elementary School commons.
The Mobile Museum offers engaging science, technology, engineering, art, and math activities that make learning fun, accessible and appealing. Geared toward kids ages 0-11, the Museum’s interactive activities are designed for children and their caregivers to explore & play together. Exhibits include:
Construction Zone: Rigamajig, Roads & Rigs with Construction dress-up
Festival of Sound: Ice cream truck, soundwaves, tuning forks, cuicca cups, build an instrument
Mountains of Imagination: Big blocks, weight & balance, KEVA planks, paint spinners
And more!
Fika Sisters Coffeehouse will also be on-hand, selling drinks and snacks to keep everyone energized.
Thanks to support from the following sponsors, admission to this event is FREE!
Donations benefiting CMCO will be accepted at the door (suggested: $5/child).
