Loneliness is on the rise. What can Sisters Country do about it?
C4C is proud to announce the next event in our bi-annual series of community forums: “You Are Not Alone: Building Community in Sisters Country.”
Co-sponsored by The Nugget newspaper, this FREE, public event will shine a light on the "epidemic of loneliness and isolation" in America, with a focus on how this crisis is impacting the Sisters Country community and citizens.
The forum will be held at the Sisters Community Fire Hall, with light refreshments provided. Our esteemed panel of local health professionals and organizational leaders will discuss:
The causes of loneliness, and its impacts on our personal and collective well-being
What social isolation looks like in Sisters Country, and how it affects various segments of the population differently
What local organizations are doing to combat social isolation, and what gaps still need filling
What we – as individuals and a community – can do to build our own social connections and support those most vulnerable to social isolation
Following the initial panel discussion, we will open the floor to audience Q&A and broader dialogue.
This event will also be live-streamed online. Click the button below to register for the livestream or to receive the recording following the event.
