What’s it like to be a kid in Sisters Country today?
Join C4C for the next event in our bi-annual series of Community Forums: “Are the Kids Alright? Youth Wellbeing in Sisters Country.”
Produced in partnership with The Nugget, this free public event will examine the lived experiences, strengths, challenges, and needs of local youth, with a focus on ways that the broader community can support our youngest residents.
Free on-site childcare, live-streaming, and other accessibility services are available; details below.
The forum will be held in the new Sisters Elementary School cafetorium, with light refreshments provided. With a panel that includes an educator, behavioral health specialist, student, and parent advocate, we’ll discuss:
What’s working – and what isn’t – for local youth?
How is being a kid today different from past generations?
How are Sisters’ kids faring compared to other communities?
How are national topics like teen mental health, social media, and school safety impacting local youth?
What challenges persist for youth in Sisters Country? What else do they need to thrive?
Following the initial panel discussion, we will open the floor to audience Q&A and broader dialogue.
Our panelists will include:
