Hive Time (Monthly Senior Meetup)

  • The Lodge Retirement Community 411 East Carpenter Lane Sisters, OR, 97759 United States (map)

Introducing “Hive Time” – a new monthly gathering for older community members, buzzing with activity!

Calling all seniors! We’ve heard your concern – there’s no central gathering space in Sisters for social connection and access to resources. In response, C4C is partnering with local service providers and community volunteers to pilot a new monthly gathering called "Hive Time."

Starting in October, Hive Time will take place every first Friday of the month from 2-4 PM at The Lodge. The meetups are targeted toward older residents and their care partners.

Each gathering will offer time for:

  • Complimentary refreshments and casual social connection

  • Presentations by local experts and professionals

  • Games, crafts, & activities

  • Meeting with local service providers offering support around topics like health care, estate planning, social services, and more.

Our inaugural Hive Time gathering will feature a presentation by Scott Crabtree, Founder of Happy Brain Science, on “Building Belonging: The Science of Connecting in a Lonely World.” Learn how to combat our society’s “loneliness epidemic” and build a greater sense of belonging for you and your community!

Need a hand getting there? Email us and we can help coordinate carpooling. Hope to see you there!
