On June 12th, the inaugural cohort of the Sisters Civic Leadership Academy made their final presentation to Sisters City Council. Members presented their group project, examining the question – “How can the City improve its community engagement and outreach?” The Councilors were incredibly impressed, and gave the group a standing ovation!
We’ve been so inspired by the brilliance and commitment of our inaugural 10 cohort members. You can watch their presentation and read their report here.
The Academy also received some nice press coverage from local media publications:

The Sisters Civic Leadership Academy was a partnership between the City of Sisters and C4C. We are incredibly grateful to our facilitators from Portland State University’s National Policy Consensus Center, as well as the financial support provided by the Roundhouse Foundation and the Ford Family Foundation.
The City and C4C plan to offer a second cohort of the Academy in spring 2025. Stay tuned for updates!
