Save the Dates: 'Let's Dance' on Aug. 15 (plus a Sept. 16 fiesta!)
- Sisters Camp Sherman Fire District Community Hall 301 South Elm Street Sisters, OR, 97759 United States (map)
Citizens4Community has a busy summer of interactive fun planned; and we're sincerely hoping you can join us for every beat and step of the way!
In addition to the Rhythm & Song in the Park community "play" date set for July 19, we'll also be presenting a community "Let's Dance" event on Wednesday, Aug. 15. A big thank you to our partners, including Sisters Park & Recreation (SPRD), Ford Family Foundation, Melvin's by Newport Avenue Market, and the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District.
The "Let's Dance" event will begin with a free community meal, followed by line dancing at the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District's community hall, 301 S. Elm St. The event is designed to be comfortable and fun for those who are used to dancing as well as those who might be a little more shy about it. You'll be able to learn the "Cupid Shuffle" as well as a variety of other fun, group dances. Hawaiian dance and circle dance demonstrations also are planned.
Then, next up will be an all-community fiesta, with folkloric dancers, mariachi music, food and more. The all-community fiesta is currently planned for 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16.
For more information about these events, see the story that ran in the July 11 Nugget Newspaper HERE.
