Community members are losing insurance coverage or seeing rates rise dramatically. How will this impact our preparedness for wildfire and broader quality of life?
Join C4C, The Nugget, Rotary Club of Sisters, and Sisters Kiwanis for the second of our two spring Community Forums on “Wildfire in Sisters Country.”
Part 2 of this free, in-person + online series will examine the state of the insurance industry and how it is impacting community livelihoods and resilience.
Free Quality childcare, live-streaming, and other accessibility services are available (details below.)
Featuring an insurance agent, industry executive, state regulator, and community stakeholder, we’ll dig into questions like:
What are local brokers seeing on the ground here in Sisters Country?
How are emergencies and disasters across the country impacting local insurance rates and coverage?
What was the real goal of the infamous wildfire hazard maps, and do they relate at all to our insurance woes?
What are policy makers and state agencies doing to support communities impacted by skyrocketing insurance rates?
What’s the end-game? Will communities at high risk of wildfire simply have to live without insurance?
The forum will be held in the new Sisters Elementary School cafeteria, with light refreshments provided. Following the initial panel discussion, we will open the floor to audience Q&A.
Featuring the following panelists:
