What Do You Do With An Idea? – Recording and Resources Now Available

Executive Director
November 24, 2024

On Sunday, November 10th, 2024, Citizens4Community (C4C) and Age-Friendly Sisters Country (AFSC) hosted What Do You Do With An Idea –a free workshop covering the ins and outs of community engagement. A recording and supplemental resources are now available.

Featuring representatives from an array of local nonprofits and philanthropic organizations, the event helped engaged community members learn:

  • Why fiscal sponsorship can be an efficient way to launch a new community program

  • How to start your own nonprofit organization

  • Other ways to support local organizations with your time, treasure, and talent

  • The tradeoffs between these various pathways to creating social impact

Sincere thanks to our panelists for their insights, and to St. Charles Health System, AARP, and the City of Sisters for their generous support of this event.

A recording of the workshop is now available BELOW AND on C4C’s YouTube channel. We’ve also produced a "take-home packet" listing many of the organizations and resources mentioned during the workshop (plus a few more).

AFSC and C4C welcome feedback on ways we can continue to help everyone be part of building a better Sisters Country. Email us your ideas at hello@citizens4community.com.
