Pete is a retired attorney. Weekly he donates his time to serve as a volunteer judge in courtrooms in neighboring counties. Sewing is not a hobby for him. He's going to sew this week, however, because he believes it's a necessity. Pete feels strongly that he needs to help our medical professionals have one more barrier against COVID-19. Pete is asking for your help.

We care about our fellow residents’ health and safety, so C4C has decided to postpone our scheduled group event in March. We have temporarily shifted the topic for that March 16 Let’s Talk to April 20, and we’ll let you know if that date changes again.

Last fall, more than 200 people participated in the free Let’s Sing, which followed the 4th Friday Art Stroll in downtown Sisters. We appreciated our partnership with the Sisters Arts Association to promote both events.

As participants arrived for the talk they were asked to consider three questions (posed in English and Spanish): “What does it mean to be welcoming?” “What does ‘community’ mean to you?” and “When we say ‘all,’ who do we mean?”

Big thanks to all of you who braved the chilly night air Nov. 22, made your way to The Belfry and, through the power of singing together, created your own warmth—an energizing atmosphere overflowing with heartfelt harmonies, camaraderie and community fun. C4C’s “Let’s Sing, Sisters!” drew 200 area residents; and Portland’s Low Bar Chorale Band truly helped make it a night to remember.
