Our Next Zoom Meeting: Let's Talk! Looks at How Covid is Impacting Local Businesses. Plus: What Can We Do to Help?
- Paulina Springs Books 252 West Hood Avenue Sisters, OR, 97759 United States (map)
You are invited to join C4C for our monthly Let's Talk! discussion. This month we will again host this opportunity to connect as a community via Zoom video-conferencing.
On Thursday, May 21 we'll spend about 90 minutes (6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.) with area business and economic development experts and we’ll hear the area’s latest economic impact reports. We’ll learn about COVID-19-focused programs and resources that are helping Sisters and Central Oregon businesses and employees.
Also, a panel of local business owners and a nonprofit director will share how navigating shutdowns is going and their outlooks for the future. For example, we'll learn how businesses are preparing for phased reopening efforts.
[Special note: If you haven’t yet seen “Sisters Strong”—a thoughtful short feature spotlighting our local businesses by filmmaker Cody Rheault—you’ll definitely want to check that out HERE>>.]
Let’s Talk! is usually held the 3rd Monday of every month. But this month we delayed the discussion a few days in order to receive and share the most current economic impact report for the region.
Again, our discussion will be held via a Zoom video-conferencing session, so you can join us from the comfort and safety of your own home!
Discussion participants will be invited to ask questions and then to discuss as a group how community members can support our local businesses and nonprofits during the upcoming months.
Special guests set to join us on May 21 include:
• Judy Trego—Executive Director, Sisters Country Chamber of Commerce
• Janel Ruehl—Program Coordinator, COIC Community & Economic Development Department
• Lane Jacobson—Owner, Paulina Springs Bookstore
• Mary Fowler—Owner, Sisters Motor Lodge
• Crista Munro—Executive Director, Sisters Folk Festival

You’ll simply need a computer with a video camera and microphone. We’d love to have you join us via video, but if you can only join us via audio (your phone), that will work, too. If you’re unfamiliar with Zoom, you can learn more via Zoom tutorials at https://zoom.us/docs/enus/covid19.html.
We're looking forward to seeing and talking with you soon.
Let’s Talk is free, but we ask that you RSVP so we can best prepare and can send you the Zoom link in advance of the meeting.
We’ve been hosting Let’s Talk! online for the past couple months; and look forward to a time when we can all sit down in the same room again. Until then, we encourage you—whether you’re a longtime Let’s Talk! participant and or newcomer—to join us, invite a friend, and share your thoughts.
